Just wanted to officially welcome everyone to the Tuesday Night Book Club Blog!!! For those of you who know who we are, lucky you ;) For those you who are just having a lurk, we are a group of ladies from all different walks of life who come together once a month to discuss books, among other things. We read all types of fiction, and have even delved into non-fiction biography. We use this as a forum to toss around book ideas and add to our insanely insightful, thoughtful, and delicious conversations. For those of you who hope to lurk this blog from time to time to see what we thought of the books we've read, feel free! Leave us a comment while your at it!
In July we selected Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures by Vincent Lam. Every member in the book club actually finished the book, so that's a good sign! Overall, I think the book was well-received, with the only complaint being that Lam left a lot of loose ends in his stories. You really get to love all the characters and the fact that you are left not knowing how some of them fare is somewhat frustrating. However, in the grand scheme of things, Bloodletting was fantastic, fast, and entertaining read. I would say it's a 4 out of 5.
Let us know what you thought!
